Organizers say this year's cookoff will be bigger, better and hotter than ever with "tastebud-tingling chili, savory salsa, hot-hot-hot sauce and lively music."
Entries will be accepted until Wednesday, Sept. 19. Cooks will receive a commemorative cookoff apron, beverage tickets and other perks. They will compete for hand-blown glass art created at the Industrial Arts Center.
Complete rules for cooks and hot sauce vendors are available online.
Tasters can receive free hot-sauce samples from vendors. In addition to admission, votes for the People's Choice Award will be sold for $1 each to support the IAC operating fund.
