Tractor-Trailer Hauling Tesla Batteries Crashes On I-275: FL Troopers
A tractor-trailer truck carrying Tesla batteries lost control on I-27 near St. Pete after a tire failure, FL troopers said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A tractor-trailer truck hauling Tesla vehicle batteries crashed on Interstate 275 in the St. Petersburg area on Tuesday morning, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
The truck, driven by a 58-year-old Polk City man, experienced a tire failure while heading south on the highway near 22nd Avenue N. around 10:30 a.m.
The driver lost control of the truck, which entered the shoulder, and came to a rest after hitting a guardrail and a light pole, troopers said.
