The Industrial Arts Center presents two week-long sessions this summer for children ages 8 to 15 to learn basic glass-blowing skills. Each session includes five classes followed by daily studio cleanup; students will make one or more finished pieces in each class.
The arts center says students will make fundamental shapes such as a ball, a cylinder, and a bowl. Each session also focuses on teamwork and assistantship, with individual study on the final day, the center says.
Each session is limited to eight students.
