The library presents a special program and video about the late artist Sri Chimnoy by one of his longtime students, Tilvila Hurwit.
Chimnoy was born in India in 1931. He traveled extensively and moved to New York City in 1964. He became known worldwide for his colorful paintings promoting peace. During his life, he also performed musical concerts including esraj, flute, piano, harmonium and cello while devoting 30 years of service for the United Nations.
The “World Harmony” art exhibit by Sri Chimnoy will be displayed in the Francis Purdy Room throughout November.
