Local Real Estate Company Expands, Offers Rental Services

Sail Away Realty Inc. has called Beach Boulevard home for seven years and this month the local business moved into a new home and location to accommodate its new property management division. Scott Shwarts says the company expanded because there was a need.

"We have had many people ask us if we did rentals and we've recently added new personnel, in particular Anita Charles, who has extensive property management experience (however all of our agents can help of course). It's all come together with our new office location."

The local business has moved to 3037 Beach Blvd. S. in downtown Gulfport - just a couple blocks south of their old location.

"By providing the added opportunity to lease their home to qualified renters, the owner is able to benefit from income that would otherwise come out of pocket while the home is unoccupied, to pay for mortgages, maintenance, etc.," Propieter Mike Baggs writes.

Scott Shwarts adds that some of the challenges property owners face is "finding suitable tenants and keeping tenants happy. We know that a happy tenant is a profitable tenant, one more likely to renew their lease and look after the property."

The new location is open 10-4 Tues-Friday and 12-4 Saturday. Officials also intend to be open during events such as Art Walks.
