• Gulfport Council Removes Flock Camera Funding From Budget (thegabber.com) — Gulfport residents should know that City Council voted 3-2 to remove $9,000 for Flock license-plate-reading cameras from the 2027 budget after weeks of debate over privacy, data ownership, and cost. Police leaders defended the cameras as crime-fighting tools, while councilmembers and residents questioned whether the city should keep investing in them and how much control Gulfport really has over the data.
