• South basin repairs begin at Gulfport Marina (tampabay28.com) — Repairs are finally starting on the storm-damaged south basin at Gulfport Marina after the city secured long-awaited Army Corps permits, nearly two years after Hurricane Helene. The work should restore slips for dozens of displaced boats, bringing back visiting boat traffic that local spots like Gulfport Brewery say they've sorely missed and helping revive waterfront business activity.
   

• Gulfport exhibition features ceramic pots built for oyster reef restoration (fox13news.com) — A new ceramics exhibition at Brenda McMahon Gallery in Gulfport showcases artist Ashley Rivers' textured clay pots, which double as future oyster habitats. The show highlights how oysters support Florida's waters and leads into a Saturday night artist talk and demo, where attendees can learn to craft their own oyster pots and explore hands-on marine restoration art.
