β’ 'Heavily decomposed' human remains found outside tent in wooded part of Homosassa: deputies (wfla.com) β Human skeletal remains were recently discovered outside a tent in a wooded area off West Bradshaw Street in Homosassa, and investigators are still working to identify the person and determine how they died. Deputies say there are no immediate signs of foul play and no known ongoing threat, even after another set of remains was found nearby weeks earlier.

β’ Florida man dies in boating accident at Watts Bar (herald-citizen.com) β A 72-year-old Homosassa resident, Stephen Mason, died after falling overboard from a pontoon boat on Tennessee's Watts Bar Reservoir, where he was not wearing a life jacket. Authorities say multiple local agencies responded, and this marks Tennessee's 16th boating-related fatality of 2026.
