• Florida deputy accused of kidnapping ex in front of her kids, killing her, himself (komonews.com) — A deadly domestic dispute began Monday in Hudson’s Phyllis Lane area, where a deputy confronted his ex-girlfriend outside her home and abducted her in front of her children. Deputies later found both adults dead in a car in Spring Hill. Pasco County authorities emphasize the children did exactly what they were told by seeking safety and calling 911.

Officials say the children, now with their biological father, followed their mother’s instructions to seek safety and call for help. Local sheriffs publicly praised their courage.
