• Fort Pierce man charged with bomb making not linked to recent threats (tcpalm.com) — Neighbors in Indian River Estates are being told that the Fort Pierce man arrested after eight improvised explosive devices were removed from his Balsam Drive home is not linked to recent bomb threats at local schools and a hospital. Deputies say the devices and bomb-making materials were found while serving a risk protection order, but stress the school and hospital threats remain a separate investigation. 
• Apparent 'military style hand grenades' found in Florida home (tcpalm.com) — Residents of Indian River Estates may want to know that deputies serving a risk protection order on Balsam Drive reported finding seven apparent modified replica grenades and a homemade explosive device in a neighbor's home. A 57-year-old man was arrested on eight felony explosives counts and later released on bond, after family concerns and threatening messages prompted the court-ordered seizure of his weapons.
