📰 News we're reading

• Something New Is in the Works at Disney World's Flagship Lagoon Hotel (thestate.com) — Something new is brewing just across Seven Seas Lagoon from Lake Buena Vista residents at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, where Imagineering has filed fresh construction paperwork for the recently opened Island Tower. While details are scarce, the permits suggest guest‑facing enhancements that could change views, amenities, and experiences for locals who frequent the monorail resorts or host visiting family there.

• Disney World Sells Out $400 Lightning Lane Upgrade for 4 Straight Days (disneytips.com) — If you're planning to visit Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista over Columbus Day weekend, the pricey Lightning Lane Premier Pass is already sold out on many days at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios. With prices nearing $400 per person, demand signals heavy crowds, so locals and visitors may need to rely on standby lines, Multi Pass, or shifting plans to Animal Kingdom.
