The deputy turned on his siren and lights, but the motorcyclist did not stop. He was later identified as Najier Tyrique Haines, 19, from Orlando, ABC7 reported

"Based on the motorcyclist’s recklessness and other circumstances, the deputy chose to disengage, and deactivated his emergency equipment," the sheriff said.

Authorities soon received a report of a motorcycle on fire on I-4 a few miles down the road.

The deputy found Haines' Honda motorcycle destroyed by fire, although the rider was uninjured.

Haines was arrested and charged with: fleeing to elude, dangerous excessive speeding, and reckless driving. He was also cited for not having a tag on the motorcycle, the sheriff's office said.
