Crash Between Polk School Bus, Car Leaves Woman With Serious Injuries
A 21-year-old Treasure Island woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after colliding with a school bus Monday morning.
WINTER HAVEN, FL — A 21-year-old Treasure Island woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after colliding with a school bus Monday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 7:38 a.m., a Polk County school bus driven by a 69-year-old Davenport woman with no students aboard was heading east on Holly Hill Cut-Off Road when it turned into the path of a car driven by the Treasure Island woman who was headed south on U.S. 27. The front of the car crashed into the bus.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash.
