Fatal Shooting Of Davenport Teen Under Investigation
Polk County sheriff's deputies found the body of a 17-year-old boy near Jennings Road and Jack Watkins Road in Haines City.
HAINES CITY, FL — The Polk County Sheriff's Office is investigating the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old Davenport teen, whose body was found near Jennings Road and Jack Watkins Road in Haines City on Thursday.
According to the sheriff's office, around 4:35, police received a call about the nonfatal shooting of a 17-year-old Winter Haven teen in the 600 block of Lemon Street in Dundee.
About 15 minutes later, the body was found near Jennings Road. Detectives believe the two cases are related, and are interviewing witnesses to determine what happened, said the sheriff's office.
