POLK COUNTY, FL – A former Department of Juvenile Justice detention officer and supervisor, who worked in Polk and Osceola counties, was arrested Thursday for the alleged molestation of a minor, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

Rolando Dejesus, 41 of Orlando, is accused of inappropriately touching a girl under 12, and is being charged with one count of suspected sexual battery and one count of alleged lewd molestation, deputies said.

The victim told law enforcement that the alleged incidents occurred roughly five years ago when she was 7, and involved two specific incidents she could recall involving oral sex and masturbation, according to the affidavit.

"He was a big guy, I was scared to tell," the child reportedly told authorities of "Rolo," who stands 6 feet 2 inches tall and 200 pounds, according to filings.

Dejesus previously was employed by the Department of Juvenile Justice in Polk and Osceola Counties as a Juvenile Justice Detention officer from June 1996 to August 1997 and as a Juvenile Justice Detention supervisor from September 2004 to July 2011. Since June 2012, the suspect has worked as a security officer with the Isleworth Golf and Country Security Company in Windermere, deputies said.

The agency said Dejesus had access to the victim in his personal life, not in a work environment, and purportedly admitted during the investigation to molesting the child.

Dejesus has no previous criminal history or prior Florida Department of Child and Families investigation, authorities said.

Dejesus was taken into custody and booked into the Polk County Jail without bond.
