St. Patrick's Day Brought Luck Two Days Early To A Polk County Man Who $5,000,000
It could be the luck of the Irish that helped a Lakeland man turn into a lucky winner from the Florida Lottery Tuesday.
LAKELAND, FL — Lakeland's newest millionaire is 63-year-old Marty Moon who won $5 million from the Gold Rush Limited Scratch-Off game Tuesday, a Florida Lottery news release said.
Moon chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3,960,000. The winning ticket was bought at Nick's Food Mart, 1219 Lakeland Hills Blvd., Lakeland. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
The Lottery's $20 scratch-off game, Gold Rush Limited, features 32 top prizes of $5 million and 100 prizes of $1 million. Additionally, this ticket is filled with over 33,000 prizes of $1,000 to $100,000.
