1 Injured in Truck vs. Home Crash

The accident happened Monday morning in Land O' Lakes.

The driver of a commercial truck has been hospitalized following a Monday morning run-in with a Land O’ Lakes home.

The accident happened just before 10 a.m. at 19426 Autumn Chase Court when a 2005 Isuzu truck driven by Ryan Kessinger, 24, of Tampa ran into the home.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Kessinger was heading eastbound on Autumn Chase Court, approaching Water Color Drive when he failed to stick to his lane, drove off the roadway and into the home.

The home’s owner, Sasa Prcic, 33, was there, but was not injured in the crash that damaged the porch, the highway patrol said in a media release. The collision did little damage to the main structure, the release said.

Kessinger was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa with minor injuries. He was cited for failure to drive within a single lane.
