I-75 Northbound Lanes Now Open in Pasco County

Two northbound I-75 lanes were closed in Pasco County until Friday evening.

Update July 15, 5:42 p.m.: The Florida Department of Transportation has announced that the two northbound Interstate 75 lanes closed for repairs for the past few days are now open to traffic.

Two northbound I-75 lanes affected by a roadway depression that opened up in the San Antonio area over the past weekend remained closed as of late Friday morning.

β€œRepairs are ongoing and will continue until completed,” the Florida Department of Transportation reported around 11:30 a.m. Friday. β€œPaving is taking place today with the hope of opening up one or both lanes later today. However, at this time, no reopening time or day is certain.”

The closing impacts the right and middle lanes of I-75 about three miles north of State Road 52.

As the closing continues, β€œdrivers can expect major delays – particularly during peak driving periods – in southern and central Pasco County leading up to the work zone,” FDOT said in an email to media.

Motorists are advised to consider taking alternative routes until the lanes reopen.
