4 Pasco High Schools Make Top 20 Best List In Tampa Bay

PASCO COUNTY, FL — Pasco County Public Schools' students continue to outperform their peers as highlighted in the new high school rankings by the U.S. News & World report. The newly released Best High Schools named four Pasco County high schools in top 20 positions for the Tampa Bay area.

The high schools in the district that made the top 20 list are:

#9 Land O' Lakes High School with a 94 percent graduation rate and a 49.9 college readiness score

#16 Sun Lake High School with a 94 percent graduation rate and a 39.0 college readiness score

#17 Mitchell High School with a 94 percent graduation rate and a 42.2 college readiness score

#19 Wiregrass Ranch High School with a 95 percent graduation rate and a 31.2 college readiness score

The Best High School rankings are based on six key elements that contribute to student success: college readiness, math and reading proficiency, math and reading performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rate.
