5th Sandbag Location Opens in Pasco
More rain is expected as the week continues.

With heavy rains continuing to drench Pasco and flooding woes forcing some from their homes, the county has opened up a fifth location where residents can pick up free sandbags.
As of Tuesday morning, the county and city of New Port Richey had teamed up to offer bags at these locations:
Pasco County residents in need of sand bags (limit 20 per household) can
obtain bags at the following locations:

- Fire Station No. 17, 2951 Seven Springs Blvd., New Port Richey
- West Pasco Government Center, 7536 State St., New Port Richey
- J.W. Mitchell Park, 4025 Little Road, New Port Richey
- C- Barn on 30906 Warder Road, San Antonio (Just opened on 7/28)
Residents are limited to 20 bags per household.
City of New Port Richey residents may also pick up 10 bags each at 6420 Pine Hill Road.

Residents must bring their own shovels. All five locations are open 24 hours a day, according to county spokesman Doug Tobin.
A flood watch remains in effect for Pasco County until 8 p.m. Tuesday. Rains are expected to continue throughout much of the week. It is unclear if the flood watch will be extended again.
