8 Dogs Rescued From Burning House In Lutz

Pasco County firefighters rescued eight dogs after a fire broke out at a home Saturday morning in Lutz.

LUTZ, FL -- Pasco County firefighters rescued eight dogs after a fire broke out at a home Saturday morning in the 23500 block of Turtle Lakes Lane in Lutz.

At approximately 7:50 a.m., Pasco Fire Rescue 911 received a call about a fire at a single-family home. When they arrived, heavy smoke and fire was coming from the residence so a second alarm was called.

Firefighters started their initial fire attack and rescued eight dogs from the home. The dogs were evaluated on the scene by firefighters and placed in cages with neighbors to keep them safe.

It took firefighters approximately 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.

Pasco Fire Rescue investigators are on scene to determine the cause of the fire. No injuries were reported.
