Troopers say Trammel failed to stop at the flashing red light at the intersection and entered the path of the Ford pickup truck.

The pickup hit the left side of the Explorer, causing the Explorer to spin around, collide with a fence and then hit two cars parked at 21009 U.S. 301.

Keely Rai Oltmanns, 15, a passenger in the Explorer, wasn't wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the back seat of the Explorer during the collision. She was airlifted to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson where she later died.

Pasco Fire Rescue were called in to extricate Trammel and another passenger, Robert Stinson, 15, of Lakeland, from the Explorer. They were airlifted to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa. Trammal is listed in critical condition and Stinson is in serious condition.

Strickland was not injured.
