Attempted Kidnapping Reported in Pasco

Deputies say a man tried to entice a boy into his vehicle.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an attempted kidnapping reported in the Zephyrhills area.

According to the agency, an 11-year-old boy was dropped off by his school bus at 23rd Street and Darren Drive in Zephyrhills around 3:30 p.m. Monday when the incident happened. The boy, an email from the sheriff’s office stated, was approached by a man driving a dark gray Ford Expedition, estimated to be a model made between 2002 and 2006.

The man, deputies say, attempted to entice the boy to get inside his vehicle. The child, however, ran away and the suspect left the area.
