Dairy Queen Opens Monday

Land O’ Lakes area residents might notice a distinct “chill” in the air starting on Monday.

That’s the day when the new Terra Bella Dairy Queen Grill & Chill is set to open for business. The first 100 customers who buy a 10-inch Oreo Blizzard Cake will also receive a free quarter-pound GrillBurger every week for a year.

“We are opening one hour early that day, at 9:30 a.m., in order to provide better service to our first 100 Oreo Blizzard Cake customers,” the restaurant explained on its Facebook page.

That early opening, however, doesn’t mean the full menu will be available. Full service officially begins at 10:30 a.m. Monday with a seven-day-a-week schedule to follow.

According to the store’s manager, the 23671 State Road 54 location will offer the chain’s complete menu, including the Blizzards Dairy Queen has become famous for. The store’s hours will be from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday with the drive-thru open until 11 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, the new DQ will serve up treats from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. in the dining room. The drive-thru will remain open until midnight.

The new location has more than 70 staff members who have been undergoing training in recent days.
