Update: Baby's Body Located in River
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office recovered the body of the baby's uncle, Jeffrey Stock, Sunday night.

Update Jan. 5, 10:42 a.m.: The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office has reported that the body of Elijah Wilson, 7 months, has been located by its dive team. Ten dive team members searched “tirelessly in 64 degree water with a current and visibility of three feet,” to locate the infant. The baby’s body was found just before 10 a.m. not far from where his uncle’s truck submerged in the water, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Melanie Snow wrote in an email to media.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for a 7-month-old boy who is thought to have fallen into the Withlacoochee River along with his uncle Sunday night.

The sheriff’s office recovered the body of Jeffrey Stock, 46, Sunday night after receiving a report around 6:30 p.m. that a pickup truck had sunk into the river near Ranch and Auton roads in Dade City. The man, deputies say, was holding 7-month-old Elijah Wilson at the time of the accident.
According to the sheriff’s office, a new shift of divers is reporting to the scene Monday morning to continue the search for the baby.

Preliminary information from the sheriff’s office indicates Stock’s truck was parked beside the river when it rolled into the water. Stock, an email to media stated, tried to escape the truck, but was pulled under the water.
