Luncheon and Mini-Flea Market to benefit two area Spouse Abuse Shelters combatting Domestic Violence

GFWC LUTZ-LAND O’LAKES WOMAN’S CLUB will host its annual Luncheon and Mini-Flea Market to benefit two area Spouse Abuse Shelters combatting Domestic Violence.  The luncheon & mini-flea will take place on Thurs. Aug. 23, 2012 from 10 am-1 pm at the Lutz Community Center, Lutz-Lake Fern Rd. & Hwy. 41 behind the Lutz Library.  The delicious luncheon will be only $6 so bring a friend or two.  Donations of cash and suggested items are most welcome.  The shelters always need baby items, diapers, small toys, children’s clothing to size 12 (new or very gently used), socks, underwear, hygiene items for kids and moms, towels and wash cloths.   The mini-flea will include clothing, accessories, shoes, décor items, household, etc.  All donated clothing must be on hangers.  The monetary proceeds of the luncheon and mini-flea as well as the left-over items will all be donated to the shelters.  Remember these women and children often must leave their homes and all their belongings with only a moment’s notice and arrive at the shelters without even the bare necessities.   Any questions, please call Chairperson Joan at (813) 855-7254.
