High Schools To Host Trick-or-Treat Around the Track

High schools across Pasco County have scheduled safe, family-friendly trick-or-treat activities to celebrate Halloween on Friday, Oct. 30, and Saturday, Oct. 31:

Land O’ Lakes High School - 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday, with gates closing at 6 p.m.

Land O’ Lakes community members are invited to the event sponsored by the school’s Inter-Club Council and Pine View Middle School. A parking donation of $3 benefiting Gators athletic scholarships will be collected on Gator Lane.

Admission is free for children in costume and the adults with them. Those who wish to remain for the football game against Mitchell and Senior Night activities are asked to purchase game tickets ($5 each). Land O’ Lakes High School is at 20325 Gator Lane in Land O’ Lakes.

Wesley Chapel High School - 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday

This is a free event at which the entire community can take one or a few trips around the track collecting candy, goodies, treats and prizes. A variety of school clubs and organizations will be on hand to showcase their programs while giving out treats to all.

There also will be a petting zoo with animals from the school’s FFA and Agriculture department, a photo booth and face painting, among many other activities. Wesley Chapel High School is at 30651 Wells Road in Wesley Chapel.

Fivay and Ridgewood high schools will combine forces for trick-or-treating from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Friday at Fivay High School before their varsity football game.

Children in costume 12 years of age and under will get free admission to the game, which starts at 7:30 p.m. Adults will still need to pay general admission. The Boy Scouts will present colors that night, which is Senior Night. Fivay High School is at 12115 Chicago Ave. in Hudson.

Sunlake High School - Trick-or-Treat Around the Track - Saturday

• 8 a.m. – Halloween Hustle 5K benefit run benefiting Xavier Johnson’s recovery and the SLHS Theater Scholarship Foundation
• 10 a.m. - tots race
• 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Trick-or-Treating

Children from infants to age 12 are invited to come dressed in costumes and visit booths around the football field to get tasty treats.
