Lutz Bank of America Robbed

The Tuesday robbery caused disruptions at two Land O' Lakes area schools.

The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is on the hunt for a man it says robbed the Bank of America branch in Lutz Tuesday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, a man walked into the 22850 State Road 54 bank around 10 a.m. and demanded money. The man then fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-30s. He is about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds. The man was last seen wearing a Florida Gators hat, jeans and a white T-shirt.

While no weapon was seen during the robbery, two Land O’ Lakes schools and two nearby daycare centers were placed under controlled campus protocol. The sheriff’s office says all four campuses have since returned to normal status.
