Pasco County Tax Collector's Office Raises $1650 for Salvation Army Domestic Violence Program

Pasco Tax Collector Mike Fasano announces that the January donation drive on behalf of the Salvation Army Domestic Violence Program resulted in $1650 dollars in donations from the communities which comprise Pasco County. The five tax collector offices in Pasco County (West Pasco Government Center, Gulf Harbors, Central Pasco Government Center – Land O’ Lakes, East Pasco Government Center - Dade City and Wesley Chapel) all accepted donations throughout the month of January.
“Pasco County suffers because of domestic violence,” states Lynn Needs, Program Director for Salvation Army Domestic Violence Programs. “Behind closed doors it is a hidden secret that many families in Pasco County face. Thank you, to the staff and customers of the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office. Your generous donations will make a difference to those we serve!”
The Salvation Army Domestic Violence Program provides a host of services to victims in Pasco County. Services include emergency food and clothing, safety planning, emergency shelter, a 24 hour crisis Hotline, support groups for women and children, crisis intervention, personal and legal advocacy, 911 Cell Phone Program, and assistance with victims compensation/relocation.

“Our office is proud to support the Salvation Army and its efforts to assist victims of domestic violence,” states Pasco Tax Collector Mike Fasano. “Countless lives have been touched by the heartfelt efforts of the staff and volunteers of the Salvation Army’s Domestic Violence Program. It was an honor for our dedicated staff to work with a very generous community to raise these funds for the Salvation Army. I thank each and every person who visited one of our offices and made a donation to this worthy cause. Without your kindness these contributions would not have been possible.”
