Pasco School Choice: Application Period Opens Soon

LAND O’ LAKES, FL — Pasco County parents who want their children to attend schools outside their neighborhood boundaries will have the chance to make their choices known soon.

The school district has announced that the school choice application window opens Monday, Feb. 1 and runs through March 1. Applications for school choice requests are available on the www.PascoSchools.org website. Just click on the “school choice” banner at the top of the page.

Students who currently attend a school through school choice do not need to reapply unless their addresses have changed or they reside outside of Pasco County. Students moving up to the next grade level will also need to reapply.

As for students who want to attend one of the district’s magnet schools, the application period for that ends Jan. 31. Students are selected to attend through a lottery process. Announcements of acceptance will be emailed on Feb. 12, the district said.
