PASCO COUNTY, FL —The Pasco County Schools graduation rate improved by 1.6 percentage points in 2019, rising to 88.3 percent. Pasco’s graduation rate was well above the state rate of 86.9 percent, and it marks an increase of nearly 10 percentage points since 2015.

“We are definitely moving in the right direction year after year,’’ said Superintendent Kurt Browning. “Teachers from kindergarten through high school can share the credit because they all contribute to our students’ success. This is proof positive that we are preparing students for college, career, and life.”

Pasco had set a goal of achieving an 85 percent graduation rate by 2019-2020. That goal has been exceeded – two years early.
