WESLEY CHAPEL, FL -- The Pasco Sheriff's Office is attempting to identify the two men who walked onto a home construction site in Wesley Chapel Wednesday, June 28, and shot a tile setter point blank.

Overnight, the sheriff's office obtained surveillance video showing a black, four-door Ford Fusion Hybrid driving through the Estancia at Wiregrass subdivision around the time of the shooting. (See related story).

The shooting occurred around 12:40 p.m. just as tile setter Heans Gianni Cuzan-Alvarez. 46, and two members of his crew were taking a lunch break at the home under construction at 28401 Marsciano Lane. The sheriff's office said Alvarez was laying on the floor in the front foyer.

Calling it a "targeted execution," Sheriff Chris Nocco said two masked men walked into the home. One of the men, carrying a handgun, reached down and tapped Alvarez on the leg, and then shot him in the upper chest.

After killing Alvarez, the shooter aimed his gun at one of the witnesses and the tile crew members ran out of the home. The killers then walked out of the front entryway, got into the black car and left. Nocco said the killers never spoke.

Nocco said investigators have not determined why Alvarez was targeted.

"It seems like they just caught him by surprise," he said. "They had no beef with anybody else. They were just targeting Mr. Alvarez."

The shooters are described as thin, light-skinned black men, 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with short, dreadlocks.
