Pasco Tax Collector's Office Raises Over $5,000 for Pasco Education Foundation-Take Stock in Children
The Pasco County Tax Collector's Office announces that $5,254.47 was raised at the five tax collector offices in Pasco County.

The Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office announces that $5,254.47 was raised at the five tax collector offices in Pasco County for the Pasco Education Foundation/ Take Stock in Children program during the month of May. Take Stock in Children is a Pasco-based program that provides scholarships and related services to students who attend Pasco County schools. Dollars raised by the foundation can also be used to supplement student services and provide grant opportunities for teacher development.
“The Pasco Education Foundation and Take Stock in Children thank Mike Fasano and his amazing staff for this wonderful opportunity,” states Roseanne Heyser, Executive Director of Take Stock in Children. “It provided an awareness of our organizations and the work we do in our Pasco County Schools. Sincere appreciation to all those who have donated and believe in the power of education. You have all made a difference in the lives of our students.”
Students can enroll in the program as early as the 8th grade. Take Stock in Children offers college or vocational school scholarships, volunteer mentors who provide guidance and encouragement, a college success coach to support the student’s educational endeavors and college readiness resources and career counseling. Funds raised throughout the year help send Pasco County students to college with 100% used for scholarships and readiness services. Additionally, 100% of scholarship donations are matched dollar-for-dollar by the Florida Prepaid College Foundation.

“It was an honor to help the Pasco Education Foundation/ Take Stock in Children program and the students they serve during this promotional campaign,” states Director of Operations Gary Joiner. “I have often said that it is a top priority to provide opportunities for the future leaders of our community by providing the best education possible. I would like to thank the community who gave so generously and the staff of the various tax offices who worked hard to raise money for this important program.”
