Publix, Winn-Dixie New Year's Hours

Tampa Bay area shoppers hoping to hit their local Publix or Winn-Dixie store for last-minute New Year’s Eve supplies might want to take note of special hours at some locations.

Neither store is shutting down for the New Year’s holidays, but modified hours are being observed at Publix locations throughout the state. That chain plans to open on New Year’s Eve at each store’s normal time, but will close down at 9 p.m.

On New Year’s Day, Jan. 1, 2016, Publix stores in the Tampa Bay area will open at their regular hours. Many stores, Publix notes on its website, will close at 7 p.m. that evening, however. The New Year’s Day hours may vary by location, Publix added.

Winn-Dixie locations throughout Florida will open at their normal hours and close down at 10 p.m. on both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, store officials tell Patch.
