Saint Leo University Hosts Homecoming November 1-4
'It's Better Inside the Pride' Theme for This Year's Celebration

ST. LEO, FL – It’s Better Inside the Pride and Saint Leo University is welcoming all to its homecoming celebration, which will take place November 1 - 4 at the campus, 33701 State Road 52, St. Leo, FL 33574.
This year, the Lions are showing their pride, reuniting with friends, serving others, touring campus, and enjoying local food, a concert, fireworks, and basketball game.

Thursday, November 1
● Athletic Hall of Fame reception, dinner, and ceremony introduces the 2018 class of athletes, who will be inducted into the Saint Leo University Athletic Hall of Fame. The reception begins at 6:30 p.m. and the dinner and ceremony begin at 7 p.m. Cost is $40 per guest

Friday, November 2
● Spirit of Saint Leo golf tournament features a 9 a.m. shotgun start at Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club. All money raised supports the academic and athletic success of more than 320 student-athletes across 21 teams. Registration is at Spirit of Saint Leo.
● Leo Lounge will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. in Room 117 of the Student Activities Building. Alumni and family members may meet friends, hang out between events, look through yearbooks and photos, and enjoy refreshments. This event is free.
● Saint Leo College Preparatory School and Holy Name Academy reunion dinner is a private event for alumni of those schools. It will be at 6 p.m. Greenfelder-Denlinger Boardroom A in the Student Community Center. Cost is $15.
● Beer and wine campus tour at 6 p.m. allows guests to sample Tampa Bay area beers and wine while visiting campus sites. Check-in is at the Student Activities Building. Cost is $10.
● 50th reunion dinner for the Class of 1968 will take place at 7 p.m. in the Greenfelder-Denlinger Boardrooms B and C in the Student Community Center. Each member of the Class of 1968 and one guest receive complimentary registration. RSVP to Sarah Olsen at (352) 588-8729 in order to receive complimentary registration. The cost for nonmembers of the class is $15.
Saturday, November 3
● Leo Lounge will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Room 117 of the Student Activities Building, so alumni may meet friends new and old. This event is free.
● Brunch with the President allows alumni to meet President Jeffrey D. Senese, learn about the exciting things taking place at the university, and help celebrate the 2018 alumni award recipients. The event is at 10:30 a.m. Greenfelder-Denlinger Boardrooms in the Student Community Center. Cost is $10
● Baseball alumni game features past team members who will return to the field to compete in a friendly game at 1 p.m. at Southard Stadium. This event is free.
● Greek Life service project allows members of Saint Leo’s Greek-letter organizations, past and present, to help the community. They are invited to package items for Feeding Children Everywhere at 1:30 p.m. in the Student Community Center lobby. This event is free.
● Softball alumni game features past team members who will return to the field to compete in a friendly game at 2:30 p.m. at University Softball Stadium. Please RSVP by calling the Alumni Engagement and Sustained Giving office at (352) 588-8667. This event is free.
● Mass of Remembrance will be celebrated at 3 p.m. in the Saint Leo Abbey Church.
● Lions tailgate celebration includes local food, activities for all ages, games, and a concert by the Forrest Hoffar Band. The event begins at 3:30 p.m. in “The Bowl,” behind the Student Community Center. There will be a fireworks display at 7 p.m., presented by the Saint Leo University Campus Bookstore. Cost is $15.
● Saint Leo College Preparatory School and Holy Name Academy supper will be at 4 p.m. for alumni of those schools, and it will be at The Abbey Tavern. Cost is $10.
● Lions Charge is a walking pep rally to show the Saint Leo spirit and rally the Lions on to victory. The walk begins at 7:10 p.m.
● Homecoming men’s basketball game encourages alumni to cheer on the Lions as they face off against the Pasco-Hernando State College Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. in the Marion Bowman Activities Center. The 2018 homecoming king and queen of Saint Leo will be crowned at halftime. This event is free.
Sunday, November 4
● Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Saint Leo Abbey Church.
● Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Name Monastery.
● Sunday Brunch will be served 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Community Center Dining Hall.
End the weekend with a brunch buffet, including a mimosa and bloody mary bar. Cost is $10.
