Toddler Taken Off Life Support Following Drowning

The little boy was found in an Asbel Creek pond Jan. 20.

The 18-month-old Land O’ Lakes boy who was found unconscious in a pond Jan. 20 was taken off life support Monday.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, the boy, Antoine Dwayne Walker Jr., lived with his grandparents on New London Avenue in Asbel Creek. The sheriff’s office received a call about the drowning around 3:30 p.m. Jan. 20.

The toddler had wandered outside his home and into a nearby pond, the sheriff’s office reported at the time of the incident.

Walker has been on life support at St. Joseph’s Hospital since the accident.

The family made the decision to remove life support Monday, the sheriff’s office wrote in an email to media.
