Wesley Chapel Man Dies in I-75 Crash

The accident happened just north of Fowler Avenue Wednesday night.

A 24-year-old Wesley Chapel man is dead following an accident on northbound Interstate 75 Wednesday night.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Adrian Carlton Fedrick Jr. was heading northbound in the inside center lane, just north of Fowler Avenue, inside a pickup truck around 11:15 p.m. Fedrick was towing a U-haul trailer behind his truck at the time.

As Fedrick traveled north, the truck and trailer became separated, a highway patrol report stated. He stopped, got out of the truck and was walking on I-75 just head of the truck when a vehicle driven by Jessica Burgess, 25, of Tampa struck the trailer. At this time, a second vehicle heading northbound, driven by James Connolly, 29, of Spring Hill passed the disabled truck and struck Fedrick, who was on foot, the report said.
