The Candlelight Vigil will be another fightback action to make the world aware of the suspicious hanging death of Syriah Henderson.<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 20px; margin-bottom: 20px; min-height: 1px; font-size: 18px; line-height: 26.4px; caret-color: #111111; color: #111111; font-family: Roboto, 'Open Sans', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">Henderson was found hanging from a tree on July 1, 2026. The organization is aggressively building a campaign to make Henderson’s death a cause to rally the Black community to organize for political power, economic development and self defense.&nbsp;<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 20px; margin-bottom: 20px; min-height: 1px; font-size: 18px; line-height: 26.4px; caret-color: #111111; color: #111111; font-family: Roboto, 'Open Sans', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">The Vigil is seen as a defining moment in the struggle against colonial violence against the African community. The InPDUM knows that colonialism imposes political powerlessness, poverty, and violence on the Black community.&nbsp;&nbsp;<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 20px; margin-bottom: 20px; min-height: 1px; font-size: 18px; line-height: 26.4px; caret-color: #111111; color: #111111; font-family: Roboto, 'Open Sans', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">There is historic significance to the Vigil being held on October 24th. The Vigil is being held 30 years after the police murder of 18 year old Tyron Lewis. A moment of silence will recognize the murder of Lewis at the same time showing that colonial violence against African people comes in many forms. It’s time to fight back.&nbsp;<p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 20px; margin-bottom: 20px; min-height: 1px; font-size: 18px; line-height: 26.4px; caret-color: #111111; color: #111111; font-family: Roboto, 'Open Sans', 'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">We will gather behind the Dollar Tree at <chrome_annotation role="link" style="box-sizing: border-box; border-bottom: 1px dotted #111111; pointer-events: none;">3426 Central Avenue, St</chrome_annotation>.
