Cop Cruiser 'Creamed' On Last Day Of School
No charges were filed in the defacing of a Largo Police cruiser, but the officer requested early retirement. The request was denied.

LARGO, FL — A Largo school resource officer reporting for work on the last day of the academic year found out firsthand just how rambunctious kids can be waiting for that last bell to ring.
“Our school resource officer at Largo Middle School was savagely attacked by a marauding band of 8th graders armed with automatic shaving cream dispensers (or cans of shaving cream),” the police department reported on its Facebook page.
Following the Tuesday afternoon incident, Officer Simcox reportedly put in for “early retirement due to the trauma.” Further investigation, however, revealed that trauma may have been a bit overplayed.

“His request was denied when it was revealed he may have instigated the entire incident during the annual end of the school year event,” the police department joked in its post.
Students throughout Pinellas County reported for their last day of school before summer on Tuesday. Sarasota County kids had their last day last week. Schools in Hillsborough, Pasco and Manatee counties begin summer break this week.

For the record, Largo Police Department officials don’t seem too upset about the creamed cruiser.
“We wish all the children of the county a safe and happy summer,” the agency concluded.
