Police aren't saying what led them to the wooded area where the child was found. The area is a short distance away from where the boy was reported missing.

Stinson said she was carrying her son from their apartment to a friend's house about 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1 when a man they didn't know pulled up in a white Toyota Camry and offered them a ride. She said he called himself Antwan. Stinson said she agreed to ride with him because her son was getting heavy and she still had a long walk ahead of her.

Once in the car, Stinson said the man struck her in the face and she lost consciousness.

She told police she woke up about 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 2 in a wooded area in Largo Central Park.

Police said Stinson's story was corroborated by bruises on her face and a surveillance video showing her walking around the park, seemingly searching for her son. Eventually, she walked to the Hampton Inn nearby and called 911.

Police described Stinson as a struggling, out-of-work single mom. She and Jordan's father were separated and had a history of domestic problems.
