Irma Knocks Out Largo Police Phones

911 still works, but the department's administrative phone lines are down.

LARGO, FL — Hurricane Irma knocked out the administrative phone lines of the Largo Police Department. The department said that 911 still works in case of an emergency, however.

To reach the Largo Police Department's Communications Center, you can dial 727-587-6731.

Cell towers are affected throughout the state as well. The FCC said that 24.6 percent of cell towers in the state are down as a result of Irma, and 26.7 percent of the towers in Pinellas County were out as of mid-Tuesday, Patch reported.
