Largo Police Baffled By Deaths Of 2 Women Found In Mobile Home
Largo Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding two dead women discovered in a burnt-out mobile home.

LARGO, FL -- Largo Police are continuing to investigate the strange circumstances surrounding the death of two women whose bodies were discovered in a burnt-out mobile home.
The bodies were discovered after a mobile home at 16860 U.S. 19 in Avalon Mobile Home Park caught fire at 5:17 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 8. Neighbors called 911 and then tried to pry open the front door but were unsuccessful.
Largo Police are considering the deaths suspicious due to the condition of the bodies, said Largo Police spokesman Lt. Randall Chaney.

The two women have not been identified.
Largo Police are working with the State Fire Marshal's office to investigate the cause of the fire and the deaths of the women.

"This is still a very active investigation and the Largo Police department continues to work with our partners at the Pinellas County Medical Examiner's Office as well the State Fire Marshal," said Chaney. "At this time, cause of death is pending results of the tests being conducted by the MEO. This may take several weeks. We are also awaiting test results from samples taken at the scene by the State Fire Marshal. Again, this may take several weeks."
