Largo Police Release Names Of 2 Women Killed At Avalon RV Resort

Largo Police have released the names of two women found dead in a burned-out mobile home on Feb. 8.

LARGO, FL -- Largo Police have released the names of two women found dead in a burned-out mobile home on Feb. 8. However, there is still no news on how the women died.

Largo Police say Diane Marie Morrocco, 52, and Carol Ann Benton, 50, were found dead at 16860 U.S. 19 in the Avalon RV Resort after firefighters put out a fire at the mobile home during the early-morning hours of Friday, Feb. 8 (see related story).

Largo Police are calling the deaths suspicious due to the condition of the bodies, said Largo Police spokesman Lt. Randall Chaney. However, police are not releasing any details on the circumstances of the fire and the deaths.

Chaney said the department is awaiting the results of reports from the medical examiner and state fire marshal before releasing any more information.

"It will be many weeks until we are able to comment accurately on this case," he said.
