Mother, Daughter Found Dead in Largo Home

Police say the case is being investigated as a possible double suicide.

The Largo Police Department has released the names of two people found dead in a home on Gladys Street Friday afternoon.

According to the agency, Elizabeth Genthner, 47, and her daughter Simonne Say, 17, were both discovered with apparent gunshot wounds around 2:10 p.m. at 2200 Gladys St., No. 1302.

β€œThere are indications to support that the deaths may have been a double suicide, but the investigation is ongoing and detectives continue to explore the possibility of a murder suicide,” an email from the agency to media stated.

Police say they were dispatched to the home for a welfare check. When they arrived, they found the two dead. Say and Genthner, the agency said, had not been seen in days.
