SPCA Tampa Bay appoints John Ralph as Board president

Longtime supporter played vital role in developing SPCA’s planned full-service veterinary hospital

Largo, Fla. (February 22, 2016) -- SPCA Tampa Bay is pleased to appoint John Ralph as president of its Board of Directors. In his previous board positions as development chair and finance chair, Ralph has played an important role in the development and planning of SPCA’s full-service veterinary hospital, which is on target to open in St. Petersburg later this year.

“John’s leadership has been invaluable to the process of developing our plans for the veterinary hospital,” said Martha Boden, CEO of SPCA Tampa Bay. “He was critical in developing concepts for new revenue streams, determining the financial feasibility of the veterinary hospital, selecting its location and coordinating the financing. We’re thankful for his continued leadership and guidance as our board president.”

Ralph is founder and majority shareholder of St. Petersburg-based John Ralph & Associates, PA, which provides tax planning, tax return preparation and business consulting to individuals, businesses, estates and trusts. Over the past 20 years, Ralph has built a reputation as a reliable business partner.

Ralph’s professional experience coupled with his previous board positions has provided guidance and support to SPCA Tampa Bay on fund development and fiscal responsibility.

Ralph is expected to serve a two-year term as Board president.
