• Video: Florida man asks repo driver 'Do you want to die?' before firing gun (fox13news.com) — A Lehigh Acres man was arrested after deputies say he pointed a gun at a repossession driver on 11th Street SW, threatened to kill him, and fired a shot as he drove away. Investigators recovered the handgun and charged him with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, while several details about property damage and the second vehicle remain unclear. 
• Lee County says Alva EMS waits can top 15 minutes (winknews.com) — Lehigh Acres residents may see some EMS calls into neighboring Alva eased as Lee County builds a new $7 million ambulance station there to cut 10–15 minute waits. The county is also opening a temporary EMS site near North River Road while planning a permanent Babcock Ranch station, aiming to keep up with rapid growth and improve response times along SR 80 and Joel Boulevard.
