• After years of delay, Lighthouse Point Yacht Club's demolition opens the way for redevelopment (newpelican.com) — Major changes are underway at Lighthouse Point's waterfront, with the longtime Lighthouse Point Yacht Club clubhouse now demolished to make way for a modern facility, luxury townhomes, and new tennis and pool amenities. City officials say construction must begin within 30 days, while separate plans are advancing to significantly remodel the Venetian Isles Shopping Center, including a larger Publix and reconfigured parking.

The federal lawsuit argues the adviser ignored clear warning signs as scammers drained her retirement savings, raising broader concerns about how well financial institutions protect vulnerable seniors across Florida.
