Home Invasion Suspects Still At Large

Pasco County deputies say the two shooting victims are not cooperating with the investigation.

A mother and daughter are recovering from gunshot wounds as Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies continue to search for three men wanted in connection with their shooting.

The woman and her 14-year-old daughter were injured May 29 when deputies say they walked in on a home invasion. The two had just returned to their home on Valdez Lane in Lutz around 1:30 a.m. when a neighbor called for assistance.

“They tried to open the door,” said Melanie Snow sheriff’s office spokeswoman, “and they (the suspects) shot at the women.”

The two never made it inside the home, she added.

The 40-year-old woman and her daughter were airlifted to St. Joseph’s Hospital, Snow said. Patch is not releasing their names at the request of the sheriff’s office.
