Florida election supervisors prepare for redistricting uncertainty ahead of August primary (gulfcoastnewsnow.com) — Marco Island voters are being shifted out of Congressional District 19, forcing Collier County elections staff to spend heavily on mailers to explain the change. Local supervisors say the last-minute redistricting review by Florida’s Supreme Court is creating confusion and extra work just months before the August primary, so residents should watch for updated voter cards. 
2. Woman's Club awards $96,675 in scholarships; installs new officers (marconews.com) — Marco Island Woman’s Club has awarded $96,675 in scholarships to 27 students for the 2026–27 school year and is also donating $43,500 to local causes. The club installed a new executive board, continues to grow its membership of Marco Island and Goodland women, and invites residents to consider legacy gifts that fund future scholarships and community support.
3. City Manager Finalists Make Their Pitch (coastalbreezenews.com) — Marco Island’s search for a new city manager is down to four finalists, including interim manager Casey Lucius, who each spent an hour pitching their vision and priorities to city council. Candidates discussed finances, infrastructure, water quality, strategic planning, and leadership style as council also moves toward filling a vacant council seat created by a member’s recent death.
4. Back to where it all began: WINK Listens begins in Cape Coral (winknews.com) — Marco Island residents David and Carla Cadwell say pickleball noise has disrupted the peace in their neighborhood, prompting city council to approve new noise-control panels. Their story is one of many WINK Listens has gathered across Southwest Florida, as the station returns to Cape Coral to hear more concerns about hurricane recovery, construction headaches, and neighborhood quality-of-life issues.
