• Sun Country to resume Twin Cities-Melbourne flights this winter at MLB (floridatoday.com) — Seasonal nonstop Sun Country flights between Minneapolis–St. Paul and Melbourne will return January 22 through April 2, using Melbourne Orlando International Airport. Local officials say demand has been strong, with past flights nearly full, and expect the restored route to again boost convenient winter travel and tourism between the Space Coast and Minnesota.
   

• Thieves targeting Florida boats, stealing expensive navigation systems (fox35orlando.com) — Boat owners in and around Melbourne are dealing with a wave of thefts as criminals rip expensive Garmin navigation systems from vessels at local marinas and docks. Melbourne Police, Palm Bay Police, and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office are investigating multiple cases and urging residents to stay vigilant, secure their boats, and report suspicious activity immediately.
   

• AARP will fund $230K in projects across Florida (floridapolitics.com) — Older adults in Melbourne will soon gain access to a new technology library and classroom, thanks to AARP grant funding for Helping Seniors of Brevard. The project is part of a statewide $230,000 investment in age-friendly initiatives, supporting digital skills, accessibility, and transportation for seniors in communities across Florida.
