New Info In Martin Plane Crash-19-Year-Old Pilot Was Flying To Melbourne Florida News (iheart.com) — A 19-year-old pilot who rented a small plane in Melbourne and was flying back there from Fort Lauderdale walked away uninjured after a crash-landing in Martin County’s Hungryland Preserve. Investigators from the NTSB and FAA are now examining what caused the engine failure that flipped the aircraft onto its roof along a rural canal road.
